Reaching number one in the US for just a week in January 1970, “I Want You Back” by the Jackson 5 was the first of four number one hits for the Group. (The others being: “The Love You Save”, “ABC” and “I’ll Be There”). It was also the first recording made by the Jacksons in California – Motown having previously occupied ‘Hitsville USA’ in Detroit.

Little Michael Jackson sounds so young on this track. Still very difficult to make a distinction between him and the Jacksons independently as a standalone group.
